Biology of Reproduction Announces New Editors in Chief
The Society for the Study of Reproduction is pleased to announce Aleksander Rajkovic, MD, PhD, and Jeremy Wang, MD, PhD as the new co-Editors in Chief of Biology of Reproduction (BOR), the society’s flagship journal.
Drs Rajkovic and Wang will begin their four-year term at the helm of BOR on July 1, 2025. Their vision is to ensure that the journal embraces the full spectrum of reproductive biology—from fundamental molecular mechanisms to clinical applications, from traditional model systems to emerging technologies, and from basic science discoveries to their societal implications.
Aleksandar Rajkovic is Professor of Pathology and Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at University of California San Francisco (UCSF), holds the Stuart Lindsay Distinguished Professorship in Experimental Pathology, and serves as Chief of the UCSF Center for Genetic and Genomic Medicine.
Jeremy Wang is Professor of Biomedical Sciences, Ralph L. Brinster President’s Distinguished Professor, and Director of Center for Animal Transgenesis & Germ Cell Research at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Science.
Commenting on their appointment, Rajkovic said: “Jeremy Wang and I are honored to lead Biology of Reproduction during this transformative period in reproductive sciences. What sets BOR apart is its unique role as SSR’s flagship journal, committed to publishing transformative research that advances our understanding of reproduction across all species and systems. Through swift peer review, enhanced accessibility via open access, and strong collaboration with our diverse editorial team, we’ll ensure BOR remains the premier venue for groundbreaking reproductive science.”
Rajkovic and Wang take over from the previous editors-in-chief, Romana Nowak and Mary Zelinski, who have led BOR since July 2021.
“I encourage all researchers in our field to consider BOR as their home for impactful work,” said Rajkovic. “Whether you’re exploring new frontiers or deepening our understanding of established areas, BOR is committed to showcasing research that shapes both scientific knowledge and improves reproductive health outcomes worldwide.”
