The University of Newcastle, Australia Title: Phosphoproteomic analyses identifying novel regulators of spermatogonial stem cell function

Description: In this project we have used a new low-input phosphoproteomics pipeline to identify regulators of spermatogonial stem cell function that may be overlooked using traditional transcriptomic approaches. Ultimately we aim to target these regulators to manipulate spermatogonial stem cells in vitro for applications that include fertility preservation and species conservation.

Title: The diverse roles of proteostasis regulator ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 in female reproductive health

Description: The ways in which an oocyte-enriched regulator of proteostasis (UCHL1) not only impacts oocyte quality and ovarian function, but also overall endocrine health, HPG axis function, and reproductive aging. We are also exploring the utility of serum UCHL1 as a novel biomarker of oocyte quantity and quality, as well as fertility.
