SSR and the SSR Virtual Education Committee encourage you to nominate (self-nominations are welcome) early career independent investigators (Assistant Professor or equivalent) to participate in our annual Rising Stars in Reproductive Biology webinar series! Self-nominations are welcome. This series is designed to introduce and highlight research from new independent investigators to the SSR membership and broader reproductive biology research community. Nomination Criteria
Candidates are evaluated based on the following:
- Assistant Professor or equivalent rank based on location
- Truly independent or equivalent based on location
- Not yet tenured, about to receive tenure, or equivalent
- Clear accomplishments (high-impact/quality) from independent work
- Recognition of valuable research (grants, talks, awards, etc.)
- Service to SSR and/or the field
Application/ nomination process and documents to be included:
- Nominators will be asked to complete the online application form, including basic information such as nominee affiliation, years since receiving PhD, primary field of research, links to relevant publications, and a brief summary of the impact of their research.
- Finalists will be asked to share their CV/biosketch
- Applications open August-September. Finalists are notified in November and webinars scheduled beginning in January.
