We are thrilled to announce the second edition of the ReproBioArt Contest!

Bring your repro-research to life!!! – If you missed last year’s contest, you will have another chance to share images representing your research. The second edition of ReproBioArt 2025, brought to you by the Society for the Study of Reproduction, is open and awaits your submissions!

ReproBioArt is a celebration of original images captured by dedicated researchers in the field of reproductive science. This contest aims to spotlight the remarkable progress being made in reproductive science and medicine. We welcome images captured using any imaging technique.

The contest is open to members of the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR), the Society for Reproductive Biology (SRB), and the Society for Reproduction and Fertility (SRF). We will be accepting submissions until June 22, 2025. Voting will begin on June 23 and conclude on July 15, 2025. The top 12 images, as chosen by online popular vote, will be showcased at the SSR Annual Meeting in August 2025, where the winner of the ReproBioArt SSR Award will be selected.

Awards:

  • ReproBioArt People’s Choice Award: This award will be given to the image that receives the most votes from the online public (anyone is eligible to vote!)
  • ReproBioArt SSR Award: This award will be presented to the image that receives the highest number of votes from SSR members and Annual meeting attendees.

Please note: By submitting to the Society for the Study of Reproduction’s ReproBioArt Contest, participants grant SSR nonexclusive rights to use their submissions for educational and promotional purposes, including website display, social media, print materials, and exhibits.

Rules for Partcipation

1. Eligibility:

  • The contest is open to current members of the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR), the Society for Reproductive Biology (SRB), and the Society for Reproduction and Fertility (SRF).
  • Images submitted must be original and have a clear connection to reproductive research.
  • Any imaging technique can be used to capture the images.

2. Submission Details:

  • Submissions will only be accepted via Woobox Entry Form
  •  Each participant can submit a maximum of three entries.
  • Images should be submitted as high-quality JPEG or PNG files (with a file size of less than 50MB).
  • Along with each entry, provide a title and informative description explaining the scientific significance and origin of the image.

3. Contest Period:

  • Submissions will be accepted from May 15 to June 15, 2025.
  • Public voting will start on June 16 and end on July 15, 2025.
  • SSR’s members’ voting will start on July 28 and end on July 31, 2025.
  • Images will be displayed and shared on social media throughout the submission and voting process.

4. Voting process:

  • Public voting on Woobox platform will open on June 16 and end on July 15. Contest participants and the general public may vote. Each user may vote once per image. Voting will be limited to once daily per email address. Anyone is eligible to vote!
  • The top 12 images with the most popular votes will be displayed during the SSR Annual Meeting 2025. During the meeting, SSR members and participants will cast their votes by poll from July 28 to July 31 to select the recipient of the SSR Award from among the top 12 images.  Each user may vote only once for their favorite image.
  • Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting 2025.

5. Awards: Winners of the ReproBioArt Contest will receive free registration to the 2026 SSR Annual Meeting.

  • ReproBioArt People’s Choice Award: This award is given to the image with the most popular votes accrued through the Woobox voting platform.
  • ReproBioArt SSR Award: This award is given to the image with the highest number of votes collected during the annual meeting from SSR members and meeting participants by a voting poll.

6. Participant Agreement:

    By submitting to the ReproBioArt Contest, the Contest Participant agrees to the following rules:

     1. The Contest Participant is the creator or sole proprietor of the image and retains all rights to it.

     2. Contest Participants grant SSR nonexclusive rights to use their submissions for educational and promotional purposes, including website display, social media, print materials, and exhibits.

     3. Contest participants acknowledge that image entries published in this contest may not be eligible for use as journal cover images.

     4. Contest Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of submission.

     5. Contest Participants must be members of the SSR, SRB or SRF.

     6. Contest organizers reserve the right to exclude entries based on image quality or inappropriate content.

     7. Any Contest Participant or entry found to violate any rule will be disqualified.
