2024 SSR Officers and Directors Election
The SSR Nominating Committee is now accepting nominees for the SSR 2024 Board of Directors Election. As an SSR Regular or Emeritus Member, now is your opportunity to recommend fellow SSR members who would be outstanding leaders of our society.
The positions open for nomination this year are:
- Vice President-Elect
- Secretary
- Director (two positions available)
Once nominations are submitted, the SSR Nominating Committee will evaluate and put forward a shortlist of nominees and alternates which, upon SSR Board approval, will be included on the ballot for voting.
If you would like to nominate a colleague, please contact the person to confirm his/her willingness to be evaluated by the Committee. Nominations should include the name, rank or title, and professional affiliation of the person you wish to nominate. Self-nominations are also accepted.
We encourage the nomination of individuals representative of the richness of our membership, including diversity of gender, race, ethnic background, geographic location, and field of study.
The deadline to submit nominees is Monday, November 6, 2023. After the November 6th deadline, the Nominations Committee will contact the nominees with additional details.

September 25, 2023: Call for Nominations Opens
November 19, 2023: Call for Nominations Closes
March 2024: Board of Directors Election, Voting Opens
April 2024: Board of Directors Election, Voting Closes
July 2024: Newly Elected Officers Begin Term
